Message from the Chief Executive
Welcome to NorthTec.
NorthTec’s vision is to provide relevant, accessible, innovative tertiary education which transforms lives and builds communities. We seek to respect our students and place learning first. We believe it is the whole person who learns best and we value and honour our students as people.
Our website sets out key information about the institute including the details of programmes of study available. The listing of introductory, certificate, diploma and degree programmes demonstrates the opportunities available for lifelong learning, and the ability to continually update qualifications in this 21st century of shifting employment patterns and rapidly advancing technology.
NorthTec vocational and career focused programmes seek to create work ready graduates.
We have created a number of new programmes, backed up by “state of the art” delivery systems. This includes information technology support geared to latest international developments.

As the Kaumātua here at our place of learning, it is both my honour and great pleasure in joining with the Chief Executive Te Ahurei Terry Barnett, to express my greetings, salutations and heart-warm welcome to this storehouse of knowledge Te Tai Tokerau Wānanga, NorthTec.

Te Tai Tokerau Wānanga NorthTec, is a ‘mover’ and ‘shaker’ helping to shape the future of Te Tai Tokerau and its communities. I am very proud to be a part of it and I hope you will be too. Kia ora tātou katoa.
