Overview Students will advance their understanding of Te Reo me ngä tikanga o Ngäpuhi-Nui-Tonu to enable them to speak confidently in formal and informal situations.
Content Graduates will be able to:
- Discuss the historical implications of Te Tiriti O Waitangi on Ngäpuhi-Nui-Tonu
- Use an advanced degree of fluency in Te Reo o Ngäpuhi-Nui-Tonu in formal and informal settings
- Demonstrate a broad knowledge base in ngä tikanga o Ngäpuhi-Nui-Tonu
- Demonstrate advanced skills and understanding of mahi rangahau concepts, methodology and practices
- Demonstrate and practice Ngäpuhi-Nui-Tonu waiata
- Demonstrate proactive involvement with the nurturing of Ngäpuhi-Nui-Tonu reo, waiata and tikanga practices on the marae and within the wider community.

Admission Information Satisfactory completion of Te Pökaitahi Ngäpuhi- Nui-Tonu OR A proven equivalent Level 3 qualification in Te Reo Mäori from any training provider, which can be substantiated during an interview.
Entry Requirements for Year 2: Satisfactory completion of Year 1 (Te Pökairua Ngäpuhi-Nui- Tonu) OR A proven equivalent Level 4 qualification in Te Reo Mäori from any training provider, which can be substantiated during an interview.
