Tour Groups
NorthTec is the largest tertiary institution in the Northland region. We have been welcoming international students on group tours for more than 10 years. English and Activities programmes can be designed to meet the needs of your group.
Typically our programmes include 15 hours of English and 10 – 15 hours of related afternoon activities per week.
The English programme focuses on teaching the students the vocabulary and language they will need to use for afternoon activities as well as giving them the language to talk about the activities. It will also teach students English structures they need to communicate with their homestay families and people in the local community (eg; shop keepers, activity guides, kiwi students & teachers).
Afternoon activities can include rural adventures, sightseeing visits, cultural exchanges, history related educational activities, water & beach based activities, day trips to the Bay of Islands or Auckland and sports activities.
Why choose NorthTec as your GROUP STUDY TOUR hosts?
- The beautiful Northland region is one of New Zealand’s top tourist destinations. Our location offers convenient access to a wide range of outdoor activities locally.
- Our tutors have internationally recognised TEFL qualifications and are experienced in preparing English programmes to cater for group requirements.
- As part of a small community we are able to develop and maintain close relationships with homestay families to ensure the best care for your students – host families will arrange transport to our campus each day if they are more than 20 minutes walk from our campus.
- We only take groups of 10-40 students or less to ensure that we maintain a high quality programme and students enjoy a personalised experience.
- We have close relationships with local high schools and can arrange cultural exchange visits for your students.
