Overview The programme is designed to give the student the ability to interpret and understand rural land conditions and lead them into developing land and land based enterprises in a sustainable manner, or to gain employment in the horticulture industry.

Content Graduates will be able to:
- Translate knowledge into practical solutions with guidance
- Interpret the significance of human activity on land use
- Apply an understanding of agricultural and horticultural production systems
- Make informed judgements about land use practices
- Apply specialised horticultural and agricultural skills
- Go on to further education in this area.
Career Options
- District and Regional Councils, orchards and nurseries as leading hands or forepersons.
- Be able to work in a consultancy capacity within the horticulture industry

Admission Information Applicants must be 16 years of age or older at the time of enrolment, unless approved otherwise by the Programme Leader.
Students must be able to demonstrate evidence of suitability based on interview and/or portfolio.
Applicants for whom English is not their first language require a minimum IELTS score of 5.5.
