Scholarships for School Leavers

Scholarships are available to Northland school leavers. Ask your tutor during your interview.

 


Pihirau Hauora Maori Scholarships for 2012

This scholarship has been available for the past two years to support students studying in health and disability related programmes. The scholarship is targeted towards degree level study with components to support foundation based programmes.  The intent of the scholarship is to minimise the financial stress for Maori students entering or engaging in tertiary level study.

 

This scholarship is available to students who whakapapa to Te Tai Tokerau hapu and Iwi. The overall aim of the Pihirau Hauora Maori Scholarship programme is to encourage more Maori into health and disability fields in areas where Maori are under represented as health professionals and over represented in regards to health needs.

 

The applications close on January 20th 2012. Please make sure that your application has all the required documentation to warrant support when the Panel meets.

The Kate Edger Educational Charitable Trust annually funds a number of awards aimed at providing women with financial assistance for retraining and for undergraduate and postgraduate study.

 

The awards funded by the Kate Edger Educational CharitableTrust are for women resident in the Auckland and Northland areas during the academic year and enrolled at The University of Auckland, the Albany Campus of Massey University, Unitec, Northland Polytechnic, Te Wanaga O Aotearoa, Manukau or Whangarei, or Te Whare Wananga O Awanuiarangi, Auckland.

 

Applicants must be New Zealand Citizens or Permanent Residents.

Robert Gibson Methodist Trust Board
Preference given to students whose parents are either Methodist or Presbyterian.  Application forms are available online at www.methodist.org.nz   
Applications close 20th November.

Parininihi Ki Waitōtara Trust
Supporting educational and cultural purposes of Taranaki Māori.
E tautoko ana i ngā mahi mātauranga me ngā mahi Māori o ngā uri whakaheke a ngā iwi o Taranaki.
Applications close in March and September

Putaruru Veterinary Club Education Trust
Applicants must  have resided for at least five years in Putaruru, Tirau, Tokoroa, Mangakino, Whakamaru, Tirohanga, Waihaha and Atiamuri. Application forms available from Taratahi.  


Applications are accepted quarterly and close on : 30th June and  31st  December.
