NorthTec coordinates an international network of agents to recruit and prepare students for study at NorthTec.
The success of our network relies upon high standards and professionalism. We aim to provide effective support and services to our agents, to enable them to provide the best advice and services to students. NorthTec also has clear expectations of the companies that are contracted to represent and recruit on behalf of NorthTec internationally. The ethical performance of our recruitment partners is of paramount importance.
In particular, all agents of NorthTec must ensure:
- High professional standards are maintained.
- The recruitment of international students is undertaken in an ethical and responsible manner.
- Information supplied to international students is comprehensive, accurate, and up-to-date.
- Students are provided with information prior to entering into any commitments.
- Contractual dealings with international students are conducted in an ethical and responsible manner.
All of our agents are required to abide by the conditions of the New Zealand Ministry of Education’s Code of Practice for the Pastoral Care of International Students. A copy of this code, and translated versions, are available online at the Ministry of Education.
Applying to be an Agent
NorthTec welcomes applications from international recruitment consultants and agents who can demonstrate knowledge and experience of New Zealand education and of the market for NorthTec programmes in their home country. Expressions of interest in being an international agent for NorthTec should be addressed in the first instance to international@northtec.ac.nz.
